Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and documenting symptoms accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray or phlebotomy tools.
- Support clinical staff with procedures like medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Manage medical records and documentation with precision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, confirming insurance details, and processing billing information.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in specialties like internal medicine, geriatrics, emergency medicine, or trauma centers to deliver outstanding patient service.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing.
- Proven experience in medical office management and administrative support within busy clinics or hospitals.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient electronic health records management and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with dermatology procedures, X-ray imaging, phlebotomy, and medication administration in inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or surgical units like ORs (Operating Rooms).
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and assist with intake processes in various specialties including urgent care or internal medicine.
