Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager specializing in Commercial Electrical projects to lead and coordinate large-scale electrical initiatives from inception to completion. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of commercial electrical projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to coordinate construction timelines effectively.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify compliance with electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs; implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement processes including contract management, vendor negotiations, and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor construction site activities for safety compliance; involve in permitting phases and ensure all necessary permits are obtained in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular site inspections; review construction progress against schedules; address any issues promptly to prevent delays.
- Ensure all electrical systems installed meet NEC standards and NFPA 70 compliance; oversee testing and commissioning processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical contracting, with direct Project Manager responsibility
- Experience managing large-scale commercial electrical projects with a strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprint reading, and schematics.
- Proficiency in project management software; experience with ProCore and Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of construction estimating techniques and cost management strategies
- Experience with construction scheduling, site coordination, contract management, and project documentation processes.
- Ability to read complex construction drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards on site.
- Excellent time management skills; capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Construction site experience in electrical projects; familiarity with managing diverse stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies is essential.
