Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Prepare simple food items following safety and sanitation standards, ensuring quality and presentation meet company guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation activities.
- Manage customer transactions accurately, processing cash, credit card payments, and retail sales transactions with precision.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through friendly recommendations.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation protocols, including food safety management and proper food handling procedures.
- Ensure timely service by managing customer orders efficiently while balancing multiple tasks in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or café environments with a strong understanding of food preparation and customer service.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members alike.
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately, including processing cash transactions and managing cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper kitchen equipment operation.
- Retail math skills for managing sales transactions, calculating totals, and giving correct change confidently.
