Job Summary: The Senior Supply Chain Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of materials, components, and services to support production and operational needs. This role requires a strategic thinker who can negotiate favorable terms, manage supplier relationships, mitigate supply risk, and drive cost savings while ensuring on-time delivery and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full purchasing lifecycle for assigned commodities, including sourcing, negotiation, contract execution, and supplier performance management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply, favorable pricing, and continuous improvement
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply risks to inform sourcing strategies
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning/production teams to prevent shortages or excess stock
- Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Resolve supplier performance issues including quality, delivery, and cost discrepancies
- Lead or support supplier qualification, onboarding, and audits
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Finance to align procurement strategy with business goals
- Track and report key performance metrics (cost savings, on-time delivery, supplier quality, lead times)
- Maintain and update part attributes within the ERP/MRP system
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associate degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- 5+ years supply chain and procurement experience
- 3+ years purchasing experience
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
- Demonstrated cost-saving successes
- Strong organizational skills
Certifications:
Preferred and a Plus
- Supply Management (CPSM)
- Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

- Location: Boulder, CO
- Employment Type: Full-time, 40+ hours a week
- Shift: Typical daytime hours; may vary based on project needs
Salary and Benefits
- Base Salary or Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
