We are a welcoming, student-focused dance studio dedicated to providing high-quality instruction in a positive and encouraging environment. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Acrobatics & Tumbling Instructor to join our team and help students develop strength, flexibility, confidence, and technical excellence through safe, progressive instruction.
*This position is a collaborative teaching position. You will be working along another instructor to plan and guide the classes in the most affective manner.
Responsibilities
- Teach acrobatics and tumbling classes for students of various ages and skill levels.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons using proper progressions.
- Ensure a safe learning environment by emphasizing correct technique and spotting practices.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with studio staff to support student development and studio events.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and fellow instructors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching acrobatics and/or tumbling.
- Strong knowledge of skill progressions, spotting techniques, and injury prevention.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Dependable, organized, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to work well with children and teens in a positive, encouraging environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Dance experience is beneficial but not required.
Schedule
- Afternoon, evening, and/or weekend availability.
- Hours based on class schedule and enrollment.
