About the Role
As an Automotive Business Development Consultant, you'll be the critical link between Glendale Nissan and our customers — handling inbound and outbound calls, responding to leads, setting appointments, and making sure every person who reaches out feels welcomed, heard, and taken care of. You don't need to close the deal — your job is to open the door, build the relationship, and set the stage for a great experience.
What You'll Do
- Answer and manage inbound sales and service calls with professionalism, warmth, and urgency
- Follow up on internet leads, unsold prospects, and previous customers via phone, text, and email
- Schedule sales and service appointments and confirm them ahead of time to reduce no-shows
- Conduct outbound calling campaigns for service reminders, lease returns, and promotional offers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions in our CRM
- Collaborate closely with the sales and service teams to ensure smooth handoffs and a seamless customer experience
- Meet daily and monthly KPIs for lead response time, appointment set rate, and show rate
- Participate in regular team training and coaching to sharpen your communication and conversion skills
What We're Looking For
- Previous BDC, call center, customer service, or inside sales experience preferred — automotive experience a plus, but not required
- An excellent communicator — confident, clear, and genuinely warm on the phone and in writing
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the energy of a high-volume role
- Comfortable with CRM platforms and digital communication tools (email, text, chat)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- A positive, resilient attitude — you understand that not every call goes perfectly, and you bring your best to every one anyway
- A team player who takes pride in setting up your sales and service colleagues for success
- Bilingual (English/Armenian, Spanish, or other languages common in the Glendale community) is a strong plus
