Ambulatory Infusion Registered Nurse
Shift - Days, varied. No weekends
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in patient care, particularly in infusion therapy, and will be responsible for administering medications and treatments while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, assessing vital signs and overall condition.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and medication administration.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform patient assessments to identify needs and respond appropriately.
- Utilize EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Assist with triage, prioritizing patient needs based on clinical judgment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of outpatient infusion experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy-Immunotherapy certification preferred
