Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Construction Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations and ensure construction materials, tools, and equipment are accurately received, stored, and distributed. The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, is familiar with construction tools and materials, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and organization.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming construction materials and supplies.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.
- Prepare and stage materials, tools, and equipment for construction crews.
- Track inventory levels and report shortages or damaged items.
- Load and unload trucks using proper safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements.
- Assist with warehouse housekeeping and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and stock audits.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if certified).
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, construction, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer and inventory management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and warehouse environments.
- Ability to safely handle construction materials and equipment.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
