Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to provide virtual nutrition counseling services on a PRN, case-by-case basis. This fully remote telehealth opportunity involves providing nutrition counseling to adult patients with obesity participating in a clinical research trial evaluating GLP-1 medication.
The Registered Dietitian will conduct virtual nutrition visits, provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and lifestyle coaching, and collaborate with the physician and clinical research team to support study participants throughout the trial while maintaining independent contractor status.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive 60-minute initial virtual nutrition assessments, including nutritional analysis and diagnostic evaluation to identify individual needs and develop tailored care plans.
- Provide 30-minute weekly virtual follow-up visits throughout the research study.
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans focused on weight management and healthy lifestyle changes.
- Educate participants on nutrition, physical activity, behavior modification, and healthy eating while receiving GLP-1 therapy.
- Reinforce study goals and encourage adherence to nutrition recommendations.
- Document patient encounters in accordance with study protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and research staff regarding participant progress as needed.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Dietitian (or eligibility to provide telehealth services in the applicable state).
- Experience in obesity management, weight management counseling, or metabolic health preferred.
- Experience providing telehealth nutrition services preferred.
- Clinical research experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, motivational interviewing, and patient education skills.
Schedule
- Flexible PRN position.
- Patient visits scheduled on a case-by-case basis.
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
Compensation
- Initial Virtual Nutrition Assessment (60 minutes): $100 per completed visit
- Weekly Virtual Follow-Up Visit (30 minutes): $50 per completed visit
- Compensation is paid per completed patient visit.
