American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of experience and active RN licensure with AHA-issued certifications.

Hospital-based Pediatric ICU setting

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Level 1 experience is required

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Level 1 facility experience required

Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply clinical techniques

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions

Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks

Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) is strictly enforced — non-compliance may result in cancellation
