Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, social skills, and emotional well-being. Your enthusiasm will inspire children to discover, learn, and grow while ensuring their safety and happiness throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that support child development milestones, including literacy education, physical education, and early intervention strategies
- Manage classroom routines and behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and productive learning environment
- Engage in classroom management practices that promote safety, organization, and positive interactions among children
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and achievements through regular updates and meetings
- Incorporate specialized educational approaches such as Montessori methods or preschool teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child welfare and development assessments
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional early intervention services
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification
- Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, or math to young learners is a plus
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for toddlers care or preschool experience while fostering an inclusive environment for all children
