Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a pristine, welcoming environment across commercial spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for executing thorough cleaning routines, ensuring surfaces are spotless, floors are immaculate, and sanitation standards are consistently met. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to a safe, hygienic, and comfortable setting for clients and staff alike.
This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in cleaning techniques while making a positive impact on the spaces you service. As we are a small company, benefits are in the process of being made. We have a mandatory weekend need, but during the week we are flexible with time off. Since we are a hotel weekends are the busiest. We can offer more than just cleaning rooms to give the extra hours that are needed. Starting at $18 an hour, after 2 weeks if we like your work and depending on the experience and time it takes per room we will bump you up to $20 an hour.
We have 3 properties in total, 1 which will soon be long term so no need to clean, and the other 2 are heading into a slow season, all of these properties are within 15 minutes of each other.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Implement proper sanitation procedures for bathrooms, kitchens, and other shared areas to promote health and safety.
- Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to clean surfaces, floors, windows, and furniture efficiently.
- Make sure guests staying with us have a complete inventory of coffee, sugars, creamer, etc.
- Conduct outdoor work when necessary, including sweeping entryways or cleaning outdoor furniture and surfaces.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment safely and effectively.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding specific cleaning needs or special requests to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces and floor care techniques.
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures while managing time efficiently to complete tasks within scheduled periods.
- Experience in housekeeping management or client communication enhances service quality but is not essential.
- Outdoor work experience can be beneficial for maintaining exterior areas or outdoor furniture.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and the use of appropriate cleaning products ensures safe practices at all times.
