Metropolis is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Initiatives to serve as the Chief Commercial Officer's lead operator and executive sponsor for our most complex launches, transitions, client recoveries, and cross-functional initiatives. This is a hands-on, high-accountability senior parking operations role designed for an industry veteran who thrives in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record leading large-scale portfolio onboardings, technology deployments, and operational transformations in the parking and mobility space. As an experienced parking operator (ideally at the Regional Manager level or above) you can quickly assess a situation, diagnose the real issues, align the right cross-functional resources, and drive the initiative through to stabilization and success. This role requires someone who excels at translating messy, ambiguous problems into clear action plans and accountability models. Serving as a peer and partner to our Central Operations team, you will be the senior-most operational presence on the ground for our most business-critical projects. Success in this position requires being adept at utilizing data, workflow tools, and AI-driven insights to cut through noise, identify risks, and keep initiatives on track. Ultimately, you know how to effectively leverage Product, Technology, Finance, Commercial, and Analytics stakeholders to achieve the desired client and field outcomes.
- Serve as the senior operational lead and accountable executive for major launches, complex onboardings, client recoveries, and strategic initiatives
- Diagnose operational gaps, financial issues, reporting needs, and client requirements via data analysis and field engagement
- Lead the cross-functional team (Product, Finance, Commercial, Central Ops, Analytics, Legal) required to effectively tackle each initiative
- Partner with Product/Tech to identify operational requirements, solve for readiness gaps, and ensure successful deployments
- Translate complex situations into clear project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies, and executive decisions required
- Develop the right communication cadences, escalation paths, and accountability structures for each initiative
- Leverage AI/workflow tools to improve org-wide visibility, streamline reporting, and proactively identify risks
- Dive in tactically and get hands-on in the field when required to drive results
- Serve as the operational voice and field advocate in executive discussions and decision making
- 12+ years of progressive parking operations leadership experience, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven track record leading complex ops initiatives, large-scale onboardings, and client recoveries in a multi-site parking portfolio
- Deep expertise in parking field operations, asset management, revenue control, reporting, and deployment readiness
- Ability to quickly assess a situation, identify the real issues, and formulate an effective action plan
- Strong data orientation and experience diagnosing operational issues via reporting and analytics
- Skilled at aligning cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Finance, Commercial, Tech, Legal) to drive decisions
- Expertise implementing AI/workflow tools to improve project visibility, streamline workflows, and proactively identify risks
- High accountability mindset with a bias for action and ownership of outcomes
- Parking leadership experience at the Regional Manager level or above

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $225,000.00 USD to $260,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.
