Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of landscape irrigation systems and the ability to use various tools and equipment.
Duties:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems
- Perform regular maintenance on irrigation systems, including adjusting sprinkler heads, checking for leaks, and replacing damaged components
- Collaborate with landscaping team to ensure proper irrigation coverage for plants, trees, and lawns
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize water usage and ensure proper scheduling
- Conduct system audits to identify inefficiencies or malfunctions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job
Experience:
- Previous experience in landscape irrigation or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in irrigation system installation and repair
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including lawn care and garden upkeep
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics related to irrigation systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair mechanical components of irrigation systems
Requirements:
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Valid driver's license & clean MVR
- Reliable transportation
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to complete required paperwork
- Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently & repetitively
- Ability to work in extreme heat
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
