Sales Representative — Private Label & Contract Manufacturing

About the role
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to grow our private label and contract manufacturing business. In this fully remote role, you will identify and engage brand owners, distributors, retailers, and entrepreneurs seeking a trusted manufacturing partner — guiding them from first contact through a closed deal and into a long-term, repeat business relationship.
What you'll do
- Prospect and develop new business relationships with brand owners, distributors, retailers, startups, and entrepreneurs seeking private label or contract manufacturing solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle — from outbound prospecting and discovery calls to proposal development, negotiation, and close
- Understand each prospect's product vision, volume requirements, packaging preferences, and timeline to match them with the right manufacturing program
- Clearly communicate our contract manufacturing capabilities, minimum order quantities, lead times, labeling and packaging options, and quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, R&D, regulatory, and fulfillment to scope custom projects and deliver accurate proposals
- Nurture and retain existing accounts, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction that drives repeat orders
- Maintain a well-organized pipeline in CRM; log all activity, follow-ups, and deal progress consistently
- Represent the company at virtual trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities as needed
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new account and revenue targets
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience; background in contract manufacturing, private label, consumer packaged goods (CPG), nutraceuticals, food & beverage, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing a pipeline and closing deals — particularly those with longer or consultative sales cycles
- Ability to quickly grasp technical product and manufacturing concepts and translate them into clear value propositions
- Excellent consultative selling skills — you ask the right questions, listen carefully, and tailor solutions to each client's unique needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading video or phone meetings with senior decision makers
- Self-directed and disciplined — you thrive in a remote environment and manage your time and pipeline without close supervision
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Familiarity with private label product development, FDA regulations, or cGMP manufacturing standards is a plus
Compensation
This role offers a competitive base salary plus a performance-based commission structure designed to reward new business development. Commissions are earned on both new account first orders and ongoing repeat orders — giving you the ability to build a growing, recurring income stream on top of your base pay.
