Discovery Path Counseling
Discovery Path Counseling is a queer-owned, telehealth-only group practice serving clients across Washington State. We are a small, diverse, and collaborative team, and we are growing. We are hiring at both the associate (LSWAIC, LMHCA) and fully licensed (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) level.
Why clinicians choose Discovery Path
Affirming care is who we are. We are a queer-owned practice with a racially and ethnically diverse clinical team. We see clients of all backgrounds, and affirming, culturally responsive care is built into how we practice. LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse clients, clients of color, and people in non-traditional relationships especially find a home here.
Supervision and consultation. Associates receive supervision toward licensure at no cost from our Clinical Director (LICSW, 13+ years), who specializes in affirming care, attachment, trauma, PTSD, and BPD. It is mentorship-focused and built around your growth. Licensed clinicians practice with the autonomy they have earned and genuine peer consultation.
We develop our clinicians. We build our own clinical training, and the work here builds real skill across EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, TBRI, trauma-focused therapy, and family systems.
You will know your team. We are small enough that consultation is easily available and your questions answered.
The work
You will carry a telehealth caseload across Washington State with complex, meaningful presentations, including, but not limited to:: trauma and PTSD, attachment and identity, anxiety, depression, ADHD, BPD, gender transition support, life transitions, relationships including polyamory, mood disorders, intrusive thoughts, teen behavioral concerns (ages 13+), and advocacy for survivors of human trafficking.
Who we are looking for
- An active Washington State license: associate (LSWAIC, LMHCA) or full (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)
- A master's degree in a related mental health field, such as social work, clinical or mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy
- Experience with the LGBTQ+ community and a genuine commitment to affirming care
- Cultural responsiveness with clients across diverse identities
- Strong tech fluency. This is telehealth, so you manage your own video, audio, and records without hand-holding.
- Timely, reliable documentation and professional follow-through
- Openness to feedback and supervision
- Washington-based clinicians and out-of-state clinicians are welcome if they hold an active Washington license
Compensation
- Associates (LSWAIC, LMHCA): $30 to $35/hour, supervision included at no cost
- Licensed (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT): $35 to $40/hour
- W-2 position, fully remote telehealth, flexible scheduling around a sustainable caseload
A criminal record will not automatically disqualify you. We look at each situation case by case, and honesty about your history matters most. We are a queer-owned and racially diverse practice, and we encourage LGBTQ+ clinicians, clinicians of color, and clinicians from other marginalized communities to apply.
