Job Title: Quality Inspector – Plastic Injection Molding (2nd Shift)
Location: Port Huron, MI
Shift: 2nd Shift – 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday (Overtime as needed)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in a fast-paced plastic injection molding environment producing automotive components. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all products meet customer and company quality standards before shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect plastic automotive parts for defects, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report quality issues to production and management.
- Follow established quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in plastic injection molding inspection is required (automotive preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, and inspection instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
