Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team at the nations oldest continually family run dealership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle issues. This role requires proficiency in using power tools, understanding schematics, and providing excellent customer service. The Automotive Technician will work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
The Automotive Technician will need to provide their own tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including powertrain, electrical, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot vehicle issues accurately..
- Align wheels and perform suspension repairs as needed.
- Communicate with advisors regarding the vehicle's condition and necessary repairs, ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, including powertrain systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software effectively.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicle preferred.
