American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with dual certification (RDCS/RCS and RVT) and 2+ years of experience in echocardiography and vascular studies for an outpatient medical pavilion setting.

Outpatient medical pavilion setting in the Echo/Cardiac Sonography department

Daily caseload of 10–12 studies per technologist
-
Cases include TTE and a broad range of vascular studies: lower extremity venous and arterial (LEVs, LEAs, ABIs), carotid duplex, upper extremity arterial and venous (UEAs, UEVs), and groin duplex/pseudoaneurysm

Monday through Thursday, approximately 36 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

No on-call or weekend requirements

No floating to other units or sister facilities

Epic EMR — experience preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular sonography

Dual certification required: RDCS or RCS and RVT; CCI certification also accepted

Current BLS (AHA only)

Hands-on experience with TTE and vascular studies including LEVs, LEAs, ABIs, carotids, UEAs, UEVs, and groin duplex (pseudoaneurysm)

SC license required if applicable

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis

Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to facility needs

Online modules are required and must be completed prior to the start of the assignment

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
