Responsibilities
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and baked goods with precision, creativity, and adherence to recipes and design specifications
- Prepare a variety of baked items including cakes, pastries, and other confections with attention to detail and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, piping tools, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks including measuring ingredients, assembling components, and portioning products for production or service
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling of ingredients and finished products
- Support food production processes by packaging finished goods for sale or distribution while maintaining presentation quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or food production within a bakery or culinary environment
- Strong skills in food handling, knife techniques, and operating kitchen equipment safely
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across high-volume production runs
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes as needed
- Previous catering or food industry experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high-volume output
