Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Production Planner to review material planning reports, identify shortages, and create production jobs to fulfill the shortages. You will be working in an office setting within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Review Reports: Review Material Planning Reports (MPR) for products to identify shortages in inventory.
- Generate Orders: Accurately create and release production jobs/work orders in the ERP system.
- Job Packet Preparation: Compile "Job Packets" for the floor, including printed work orders, bill of materials (BOMs), drawings, and routing instructions.
- Manage Orders: Update, split, or close production orders in the ERP system as priorities shift or as jobs are completed to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Job Release Accuracy: Zero errors in Bill of Materials or routing at the time of job issuance.
- On-Time Release: Ensure jobs are issued to the shop floor before scheduled start dates.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in using ERP systems: specifically "Production Control" or "Work Order" modules (e.g., JobBOSS, SAP, or Epicor).
- Attention to Detail: Creating a job with any wrong information causes a domino effect of waste on the shop floor.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and also communicate with team members
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
