We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve as our Clinical Director. This leadership role is ideal for a clinician who is excited to help shape the future of a growing organization while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
The Clinical Director will oversee behavioral health services, mentor and support clinical staff, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure exceptional outcomes for children and families. An active Iowa BCBA license (or eligibility to obtain one immediately) is required, as this position will play a key role in supporting Tailored Steps ABA's expansion and insurance credentialing efforts within the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to BCBAs, RBTs, and other clinical team members.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and oversee individualized, data-driven treatment plans that reflect each learner's unique strengths, needs, and goals.
- Monitor client progress through ongoing data analysis and adjust programming to maximize meaningful outcomes.
- Ensure all clinical services align with BACB Ethics Code, evidence-based ABA practices, and payer requirements.
- Provide caregiver training and collaborate closely with families to promote consistency and success across environments.
- Partner with schools, physicians, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, BACB standards, state regulations, and insurance requirements.
- Lead staff training, mentorship, and performance development to foster a culture of clinical excellence.
- Support organizational growth by assisting with Iowa insurance credentialing, payer enrollment, and clinical readiness for network participation.
- Help cultivate a collaborative, mission-driven culture where every child and every team member is valued.
Qualifications Required
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Active Iowa BCBA licensure (or the ability to obtain licensure immediately).
- Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical ABA experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and evidence-based ABA interventions.
- Experience with behavioral assessments, treatment planning, and data-based decision making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with insurance-funded ABA services and payer documentation requirements.
- Experience supporting credentialing, accreditation, or insurance enrollment processes.
- Home-, clinic-, and community-based ABA experience.
- Passion for building programs and mentoring clinicians within a growing organization.
