The Role
We're looking for a content creator who lives on short-form video, someone who is deeply native to the platforms, obsessively curious about what makes things work, and hungry to own a creative operation end to end.
You'll join a fast-paced design studio (that also manufactures all its own products) and help us create fun and engaging stories, turning them into highly watchable short form videos. That might mean documenting design problem-solving, behind-the-scenes studio moments, or something we haven't made yet – exploring how design fits into the world, what's culturally relevant, what's genuinely interesting beyond what we make. We've led this niche before and the landscape has caught up. We're looking for someone to help us find what's next.
This isn't a support role. From day one, you'll be expected to own the content calendar, drive the strategy, and run the operation independently.
What You'll Do
- Film and edit short-form videos (~1-2 minutes) that highlight everyday problem-solving and design challenges in our studio and find new angles we haven't explored yet.
- Structure stories with a clear arc, starting from raw footage and shaping a cohesive narrative.
- Think like a showrunner, not just a videographer. Understand pacing, character, and audience engagement.
- Actively track what's working across short-form video — not just in our niche but across platforms and categories — and bring that intelligence into your work and our weekly meetings. You should always have a point of view on what we should try next and why.
- Own and maintain the content calendar: plan at least one week ahead, post consistently, and flag anything time-sensitive without being asked.
- Lead the content portion of our weekly marketing meeting: present last week's performance, make the case for what's coming, and surface anything you need from the team.
- Analyze your own work: retention curves, reach, attributed traffic, and use that data to drive decisions about what to make next.
- Collaborate with the founder and team to refine tone, format, and workflow over time.
- Improve process: from video asset organization to tooling to editing shortcuts.
- Manage your own workload using a task system legible to the rest of the team.
What You'll BringTo the job:
- Deep, native fluency with short-form video platforms. You're not learning this landscape, you already live in it. You follow what's working, you have opinions about why, and you're always bringing that back to your own work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (required).
- Familiarity with Sony A7 (or equivalent mirrorless video camera).
- Familiarity with Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator (bonus).
- Basic understanding of lighting and willingness to improve.
- A track record (professional or personal) of making watchable, structured content.
- Comfort working in a real studio environment. We're not always quiet; we're always making.
- Ability to analyze content performance and translate findings into actionable strategy, not just observations.
To the team:
- Strong self-direction and the ability to own ideas from start to finish without prompting.
- Proactive and articulate communication: you surface blockers before they become problems, not after. You're consistently bringing us what you're seeing, what you're thinking, and what you want to try next.
- Creative problem-solving with a structured mindset.
- A functioning personal task management system: you know what you're working on, when, and can show us.
- A genuine obsession with growth – you want to find what works, and you're willing to try a lot of things to get there.
- A desire to grow in a small team environment with a lot of ownership.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Nice to Have)
- Experience with digital asset management systems like ResourceSpace.
- Animation, motion design, or typography chops.
- Graphic design experience.
How to Apply
Please submit:
- What's the difference between content that gets watched and content that gets rewatched? How do you create the latter?
- Find a video, in any niche, that you think is ahead of the curve or really working. Walk us through why you think it's working, what specifically you'd steal from it, and what you'd experiment with in the context of Wooj.
- Walk us through how you'd structure your first month – what would you prioritize, how would you track your work, and how would you know if it was going well?
- A link to your portfolio, reel, or past projects (if you have one).
If this sounds exciting but you're not sure you check every box, please apply anyway.
