We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers and respond to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate a cash register and handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods
- Accurately count and manage cash and stock inventory
- Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining a clean and organized store
- Provide customers with information on products and services, including gift sales and upselling opportunities
- Utilize POS systems to process transactions and track sales
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our products and services
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive store atmosphere
Requirements
- Proficiency in cash handling and operation of a cash register
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management
- Strong sales and upselling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Experience in candy/confectionery is an asset
