- Negotiate and renegotiate contracted fee schedules with dental insurance payers
- Track and renew clinical provider credentials, including licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice insurance, and CPR/BLS certifications, before they expire
- Maintain and update CAQH profiles and payer credentialing portals
- Follow up with insurance companies to resolve delays, denials, or missing information on credentialing applications
- Keep credentialing files, databases, and provider records accurate and audit-ready
- Support credentialing for new provider onboarding, including gathering required documentation
- Monitor application status and provide regular updates to practice leadership
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and payer-specific credentialing requirements and timelines
- Coordinate with billing and front-office staff on credentialing-related issues affecting claims
- Handle additional credentialing department responsibilities as they arise
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in dental or healthcare credentialing
- Working knowledge of CAQH, NPI, and dental payer credentialing portals
- Understanding of dental insurance plans, fee schedules, and contract negotiation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable tracking multiple deadlines at once
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence handling negotiations with payers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credentialing/practice management software
- Ability to work independently and keep a busy credentialing pipeline organized
Nice to Have
