Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager - Electrician to lead electrical projects from inception to completion. Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
- Oversee electrical system design, blueprint review, and schematic interpretation to guarantee accuracy and compliance with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Manage project contracts, procurement processes, and permitting phases, including involvement in the permitting phase to secure necessary approvals.
- Utilize project management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, ProCore, and Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, cost management, and documentation.
- Supervise construction site activities, and manage field operations as more projects are secured.
- Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy; coordinate construction schedule activities with team members and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, construction drawing reviews, and progress reports; address issues proactively to maintain momentum.
- Lead team efforts in electrical blueprint reading, system design adjustments, and troubleshooting electrical systems during construction phases.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical engineering standards and local building codes; manage project scope changes effectively while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing small - large commercial electrical projects within the construction industry; strong background in electrical engineering or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems design, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system integration.
- Flexibility to work in the office and in the field.
- Proficiency with project management tools including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite, and other project scheduling or estimating software.
- Deep understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance requirements, and electrical building codes applicable to various jurisdictions.
- Experience with construction scheduling coordination, cost management, contract administration, and project budgeting.
- Ability to review construction drawings thoroughly and manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams on-site while fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
- Knowledge of permitting processes involved in electrical projects; active involvement during the permitting phase is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with clients, contractors, inspectors, and team members throughout all project phases.
