Safi Laundry is a modern, full-service laundromat serving the San Jose community. In addition to self-service laundry, we offer wash-and-fold and pickup & delivery services. We are committed to providing clean, reliable, and well-maintained equipment for our customers.
We are seeking a dependable Maintenance & Repair Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our Dexter commercial washers and dryers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laundromat equipment experience or a mechanically inclined individual who is eager to learn. We are willing to provide training to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on 55 Dexter commercial washers and dryers.
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Replace diaphragms and other common wear components.
- Clean drain systems and remove obstructions.
- Inspect, clean, and repair pressure sensor hoses.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
- Identify potential problems before they become major repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Keep records of completed maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate repairs to minimize disruption to customers and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience repairing commercial laundry equipment, especially Dexter machines, is highly preferred.
- Experience with laundromat maintenance is a strong plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Must provide your own tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work during normal business hours as well as after-hours when the laundromat is closed, depending on repair needs.
- Ability to respond to occasional urgent repair requests.

Pay: $18.45 per hour
