Position Summary
The Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of caregiver recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, compliance, and employee engagement for Home Helpers Home Care. This position plays a vital role in building and maintaining a high-quality caregiving team by ensuring that all caregivers are properly screened, trained, compliant with state and company requirements, and supported throughout their employment.
The Recruitment Manager works closely with office leadership to ensure staffing needs are met while promoting Home Helpers' mission of providing compassionate, exceptional care to every client.
Essential Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified caregivers.

Manage job postings across recruiting platforms and social media.

Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.

- Conduct phone screenings and in-person or virtual interviews.
Perform Reference Verifications promptly after interviews

Coordinate hiring events, career fairs, and community recruiting initiatives.

Build relationships with local schools, workforce agencies, and community organizations.

Maintain a strong candidate pipeline to support current and future staffing needs.

Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend improvements to hiring processes.

Hiring & Onboarding:
Extend employment offers and prepare hiring documentation.

Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, employment verification, and required screenings.

Ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies.

Facilitate new hire orientation and introduce caregivers to Home Helpers' culture, mission, and expectations.

Ensure new employees are fully prepared prior to client assignments.

Training & Development:
Coordinate caregiver orientation and ongoing education programs.

Conduct or facilitate required skills evaluations and competency assessments.

Ensure all caregivers receive required annual training and continuing education.

Maintain training records and certifications.

Identify opportunities for caregiver growth and professional development.

Compliance:
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Ensure caregiver files remain complete and audit-ready.

Monitor license, certification and other required credential expirations.

Coordinate renewals and corrective action for compliance deficiencies.

Maintain Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and company compliance standards.

Assist with regulatory surveys and internal audits.

Caregiver Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for caregiver support and employment-related concerns.

Conduct regular caregiver check-ins during onboarding and throughout employment.

Coach employees on performance expectations and company policies.

Assist leadership with performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and employee documentation.

Promote caregiver engagement, retention, recognition, and job satisfaction.

Help foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Collaboration:
Work closely with scheduling and operations staff to ensure staffing needs are met.

Communicate hiring progress and workforce needs with leadership.

Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning initiatives.

Support office projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:
Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of recruiting, human resources, healthcare staffing, or management experience.

Experience in home care, healthcare, or senior services preferred.

Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and interviewing abilities.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
