We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity focused primarily on providing companionship and emotional support to patients receiving end-of-life care.
Volunteers play a meaningful role in enhancing the quality of life for our hospice patients by offering a friendly presence, conversation, reading, listening, or simply sitting with them. Your time and kindness can make a tremendous difference to both patients and their families.
This opportunity is very flexible. Whether you are available once a month, twice a month, or more regularly, we are grateful for any time you can give. We work with your schedule.
We serve patients throughout Utah County, and we do our best to match volunteers with patients who live close to them, so you won’t have to travel far.
Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Engaging in conversation, reading, or light activities
- Offering respite time for family caregivers
- Light assistance with simple non-medical tasks as needed
No prior hospice or healthcare experience is required. Training will be provided to ensure you feel comfortable and confident in your role.
Please note that there is required paperwork and onboarding documentation for all volunteers prior to placement.
If you have a compassionate heart and a desire to make a difference in someone’s life, we would love to connect with you.
