Primary Function: To direct campus health and wellness initiatives at HHCA.
Primary Responsibilities:

General nursing responsibilities to care for K-12 students and faculty/staff

Educating students, faculty and staff about health/medical concerns, including reporting communicable diseases as required by CDC/DHEC

Administer medications (maintain security of controlled substances and confidentiality of students receiving medications)
- Monitor diabetic students and those with other special medical needs

Maintain up to date medical information on all students, faculty & staff (annual physicals, immunization records, etc)

Documentation of care given along with notification to student’s family

Updating and reporting immunization records as required by DHEC (45 Day report, etc)

Maintain OSHA requirements (blood borne pathogens, bio hazard kits, etc)

Maintain MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) information

Maintain records of CPR & AED training for all F/S

Collaborate with Athletic Trainer for student injuries or other needs

Coordinate and administer drug testing, interpret test results and submit positive results for further evaluation

Provide confidential counsel to students, faculty and staff regarding health concerns

Coordinate medical response sections of Crisis Management Program with Director of Safety & Security

Provide related training on such parts of plan to faculty / staff
Requirements
Education: Degree in Health Related Field, Registered Nurse
Experience: 3-5 years of nursing required, pediatric preferred
