Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. As a Infant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early educational experiences of our students, ensuring they are engaged and excited about learning.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Facilitate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including behavior management strategies.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Skills in toddler care, special education, babysitting, nannying, infant care, or daycare are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
