Join the Wilson Marine Team for Our Fall Haul-Out Season! Wilson Marine is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team for the upcoming fall boat haul-out and winter storage season. This is a hands-on position that combines driving, customer interaction, boating, yard work, and general dealership support. If you enjoy working outdoors, being around boats, staying busy, and having variety in your workday, this could be a great fit. Boating experience is a plus, but it is NOT required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, is comfortable driving, and is willing to learn.
Responsibilities
What You'll Be DoingAs a member of our driver and yard team, your responsibilities will include:
- Traveling to local lakes and boat ramps to pick up customer boats
- Driving boats from the boat ramp back to the dealership
- Safely loading, transporting, launching, and handling boats
- Taking clear photographs of boats to document their condition
- Contacting customers regarding their boat and service
- Collecting customer payments when necessary
- Covering and securing boats after arrival
- Parking and organizing boats in our storage yard safely and without damage
- Transferring boats, engines, parts, and other products between Wilson Marine locations
- Operating a forklift to move engines and other products around the dealership and yard
- Assisting with general yard organization and maintenance
- Helping with miscellaneous dealership projects such as striping the parking lot, cutting grass, cleaning and organizing the yard, and other tasks as needed
This is not a position where you will be doing the same thing every day. We are looking for team members who are willing to jump in wherever they are needed.
Experience
The ideal candidate:
- Has a valid driver's license and chauffeur's license
- Has a clean and safe driving record
- Is comfortable driving trucks and learning to tow boats and trailers
- Is dependable and shows up ready to work
- Can communicate professionally with customers
- Is comfortable using a phone to take photos, make calls, and communicate with the dealership
- Is willing to work outdoors in changing fall weather conditions
- Takes pride in handling customer boats and company equipment carefully
- Can work independently while also being part of a team
- Is willing to help with tasks outside of normal driving responsibilities
- Has boating, trailering, or marine experience — preferred, but not required
Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions are available. Saturday availability is required during our busy season. For full-time employees working Saturdays, you will receive a scheduled day off during the week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. We are looking for individuals who understand that the fall haul-out season is one of the busiest times of the year in the marine industry and are willing to be flexible as workload and weather conditions change. Compensation: Starting Pay: $21–$23 per hour. Starting rate will be based on previous driving, towing, boating, equipment, marine, and related work experience.
