Join One of Houston's Growing Interventional Radiology & Vascular Practices
Leg Pain & Vascular Institute is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with a background in vascular, vein, interventional radiology, cardiology, or vascular surgery to become a key member of our clinical team.
This is not an entry-level Medical Assistant position. We are looking for someone who is confident caring for vascular patients, assisting with office-based procedures, and delivering an outstanding patient experience from check-in through recovery.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 4–5 days per week, Monday through Friday
- Schedule may vary based on clinic and procedure volume
- No nights
- No weekends
- No major holidays

ResponsibilitiesClinical Patient Care
- Room patients and obtain complete vital signs
- Document medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for physician evaluation and vascular procedures
- Educate patients regarding upcoming procedures and recovery expectations
- Assist with post-procedure monitoring and patient discharge
Vein & Vascular Procedures
- Assist physicians during outpatient vein procedures, including Varithena®, VenaSeal™, sclerotherapy, and ultrasound-guided interventions
- Maintain sterile fields and assist with procedural setup and turnover
- Operate C arm and Ultrasound under physician direction/supervision
- Prepare patients for vascular and vein procedures
- Prepare sterile trays and help with inventory
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment
- Ensure supplies, medications, and instruments are available and properly stocked
- Clean and restock procedure rooms between patients
Clinic Operations
- Assist providers with clinic flow and patient care
- Perform medication reconciliation
- Complete procedure documentation within eClinicalWorks
- Coordinate laboratory testing, imaging, referrals, and follow-up appointments
- Communicate effectively with patients before and after procedures
- Assist with insurance authorizations and patient coordination when needed
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and safety requirements
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Support physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff as needed
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in vascular surgery, a vein clinic, interventional radiology, cardiology, endovascular care, or an Office-Based Lab
- Experience using electronic medical records; eClinicalWorks experience is strongly preferred
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work 4–5 days per week
- Must be willing and able to work at both Houston locations

- Experience with eClinical Works
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
