Schedule: Primarily Night Work
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay, Paid Weekly
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team, specializing in maintenance and repair services for retail and restaurant locations in the Amarillo and surrounding areas. This role involves a variety of tasks, from minor repairs to larger maintenance projects. Candidates should have experience in general repairs, light plumbing, and electrical work, along with strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
· Perform general maintenance and repairs at retail and restaurant locations.
· Handle light plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
· Conduct light electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, and troubleshooting minor issues.
· Caulking and sealing to prevent leaks and maintain aesthetics.
· Replace ceiling tiles and grid systems as needed.
· Repair drywall, including patching, sanding, and painting.
· Perform interior and exterior painting as required.
· Install, repair, and replace tiles in floors and walls.
· Complete both small handyman tasks and larger maintenance projects as assigned.
· Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and up to quality standards.
· Communicate effectively with management and clients to provide updates on job progress.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or in a related field.
· Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, drywall, painting, tile installation, and general repairs.
· Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and job tasks.
· Demonstrated knowledge and use of email and phone communications, including various applications.
· Must be comfortable working night shifts, with occasional day work.
· Reliable transportation to job sites (company van provided).
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and climbing.
· Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs., work on ladders, and handle physical labor.
· Ability to effectively travel to various client locations.
