POSITION SUMMARY:
Assemble bulk material handling equipment using assembly drawings and schematics. Ensure production schedules are achieved while meeting safety, quality and cost objectives. Ability to travel for install, repairs, quarterly maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic components and sub-assemblies using drawings, schematics and work instructions.
- Use basic hand tools, grinder/cutter, hand drills, and tape measure to perform duties.
- Use forklift and overhead cranes to perform duties.
- Exemplify a “can-do” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Promote teamwork, positive communication and cross-functional problem solving.
- Seek continuous improvement as well as personal and professional development.
- Maintain good manufacturing processes (GMP) and housekeeping at the highest level within the department through involvement of all team members – aviation grade!

- Develop and recommend improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
- Establish and promote a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the company’s quality policy and financial objectives.

- Monitor quality of incoming materials as well as finished products.
- Follow all lean, 5S and flow manufacturing principles.
- Use the Master Production Schedule, project planning and good time management skills to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Be familiar with the S&OP plan and support company goals and objectives.
- Travel 20% - 40% of time for installation and field service.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Must possess fundamental mechanical skills.
- Very good written and verbal communication required.
- Strong work ethic and teamwork skills essential.
- Able to effectively plan, organize, manage time and adapt in order to meet company goals and objectives.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in verbal, written, diagram or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequently required to stand, walk and climb ladders.
- Regularly use arms, hands and fingers to manipulate tools, parts and controls.
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Regularly works in an equipment manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust and vibration.
- Operate office equipment and computer.
SAFETY REQUIREMENT:
- Must wear all required personal protection equipment (PPE) in areas required.
