Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. This role involves working in a home care setting. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform various nursing procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
- Assist in triage and emergency situations, providing critical care as needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
- Two (2) years' nursing experience, preferred.
- Acceptance of philosophy and goals of this Agency.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control procedures.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
