We're looking for a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide outstanding patient care throughout the surgical experience. In this role, you'll work alongside nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patients in Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II Recovery. What You'll Do
As a Perioperative CNA, you'll play an important role in helping patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for before and after surgery. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and room patients for surgery and recovery
- Assist patients with ambulation and transportation using wheelchairs and stretchers
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing
- Perform pre-operative preparations, including hair removal and SAGE wipes
- Perform urine pregnancy testing (UPT) for female patients of childbearing age
- Obtain point-of-care testing, including glucose, hemoglobin, and INR
- Assist with orthopedic and respiratory equipment
- Remove IVs prior to patient discharge as directed
- Provide nutrition and refreshments to patients as appropriate
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes
- Turn over patient rooms between cases
- Clean and disinfect patient care equipment and supplies
- Communicate patient information clearly with the nursing team
- Stock patient rooms, supply cabinets, linen, and nutrition supplies
- Monitor inventory and maintain appropriate supply levels
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the surgical team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Nursing Assistant certification preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
Work Environment
This position is based in a clean, well-lit ambulatory surgery center. The role involves direct patient care and requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, and transporting patients. Employees may be exposed to communicable diseases and occasional x-ray environments while following established safety protocols.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

- Surgery Center: 1 year (Preferred)
- Nursing Assistant: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
