Christ Lutheran Child Development in Dallastown has been caring for children for over 50 years and is seeking a full School Age Teacher (AGS). We are a non-profit Christian Child Care Center, Keystone STAR 4 facility serving ages 6 weeks through 12 years of age. At Christ Lutheran we provide a fun and high quality learning environment as well as a supported work place for all of our teachers. The hours for this job would be 6:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and p.m. 12:00pm - 5:30 p.m. Potential candidates could work a split shift.
Job Requirements:
Maintain the health and safety of each child.
Supervise children at all times including nap time, meal time and toilet times. A child is never left alone, or left to be supervised by another child or parent.
Provide a positive, loving and nurturing environment for children.
Engage children throughout the day with indoor and outdoor activities that are developmentally appropriate.
Implement the STARS approved curriculum, Creative Curriculum along with the PA Early Learning Standards.
Implement PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System). Training will be provided.
Display respect for others, both children and adults.
Adapt to changing situations, accepts constructive feedback and implements appropriate action.
Be flexible to the daily challenges of the center, including scheduled working hours and possible room assignments.
Maintain confidentiality.
Assists and instructs children in personal hygiene such as toilet use, face and hand washing and clothes changing if needed.
Be knowledgeable and able to conduct emergency procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Minimum Requirements needed to apply for the School age Position
* Highschool Diploma, CDA, Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education or related field
*2 years experience in a child care center or working with children. Time working with children must be documented, and must be a minimum of 2500 hours.
