Job Summary
Experienced, customer-focused Field Technician to install and service residential electronics and fitness equipment. Work includes TV wall-mounting, smart door locks, Wi‑Fi and wired security cameras, smart thermostats, and assembly/installation of treadmills, exercise bikes, and rowers. 5 to 10 stops per day. A typical work day is 5 to 10 hours. 6 am meet up at warehouse where we load and start the day. No driving required just work.
- Mount and securely install flat-panel TVs on drywall, masonry, and other surfaces; hide/cable-manage wiring.
- Run cable, install, and configure wired and Wi‑Fi security cameras and NVR/DVR systems; ensure remote viewing/access.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot home electronics such as audio/video systems, smart home devices, and computer hardware components.
- Set up and assemble fitness equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, and related accessories.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all installations comply with low voltage wiring standards and electrical codes.
- Maintain detailed service records, including logs of repairs, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with customers to educate them on device operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting tips.
Skills
- Proven experience in field service roles involving electronics or fitness equipment installation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, schematics, and technical manuals for accurate setup and troubleshooting.
- Service technician experience with a focus on equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to smart home systems and connected devices.
- Mechanical knowledge for assembling complex equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring practices, electrical safety standards, and the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and understand computer hardware components for comprehensive service delivery.
