About the Role
Q-Edge Corporation, a Foxconn Technology Group company, is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for raw material purchasing, inventory planning, import/export coordination, and supplier management to ensure uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase raw materials and ensure suppliers meet delivery commitments.
- Manage material forecasts, backlog reports, and maintain accurate supply plans in SAP for MRP.
- Coordinate Supply, Demand, and Inventory (PSI) reports with Material Control (MC) to monitor material coverage.
- Maintain raw material lead times based on customer procurement strategies.
- Meet regularly with Material Program Management (MPM) teams to provide updates on material supply plans.
- Coordinate bonded material imports and exports within Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and manage the RMA process.
- Resolve material shortages and support cross-factory material transfers.
- Track shipment schedules, including ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) and ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival).
- Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Preferred
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Knowledge of import/export processes and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations.
Working Conditions
- Office-based position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Occasional overtime or non-core working hours may be required to support business operations and urgent supply chain needs.
- Ability to respond to after-hours operational issues when necessary.
