We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated regional Walmart grocery account based out of Opelika, AL. This position is open to drivers in the Valley, AL area. Trainees and experienced drivers are welcome. Freight is no-touch and drivers are home every day. Immediate openings - 3 solo positions available across AL and GA.
PAY
- $1,300 - $1,500 average weekly earnings
- Stop pay: $15 first stop, $20 all other stops
- Short haul pay: $80 for loads under 51 miles
- Weekly mileage: 1,400 - 1,800 average
- Paid weekly
JOB DETAILS
- Position: Full-Time - Local
- Freight: and drop and hook - no-touch freight
- Equipment: Slip seat operation
- Running area: Runs to Atlanta, Birmingham, and south Georgia
- Home Time: Daily
- Shift: Both day and night
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class A CDL
- Trainees and experienced drivers welcome
- Must live within 40 miles of Opelika, AL (zip 36801)
- Clean driving record
- Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- No special endorsements required
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete live loads, live unloads, and drop-and-hook
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate ELD logs
- Follow all DOT regulations and safety policies
- Communicate with dispatch on pickup, delivery, and trip progress
