Pipefitter / Welder / Fabricator – Full Time Location: Edison, NJ

Raritan Pipe & Supply, a fourth-generation, family-owned wholesale distributor and fabricator of pipes, valves, fittings, and related products since 1943, is seeking a skilled Pipefitter/Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Edison, NJ. We serve industrial and water/wastewater markets across NJ, NYC Metro, and Eastern Pennsylvania, with on-site fabrication capabilities and over 20,000 PVF items in stock.
Position Overview:
This is a full-time, shop-based position focused primarily on new fabrication with occasional repair work. The role involves working mainly on carbon steel and stainless steel pipe systems, with occasional structural fabrication projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick welding, and torch cutti ng on carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Fit, weld, and assemble piping systems and structural components according to plans and drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate shop welding equipment, hand tools, cranes, and forklifts.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of welding/pipefitting experience.
- ASME BPVC Section IX and AWS D1.1 certifications preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques, as well as torch cutting.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Indoor shop environment with cranes and forklifts for material handling.
- Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with overtime available.
