Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems in residential homes. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install new residential HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, heat pumps and ventilation equipment according to schematics and design specifications.
- Conduct system troubleshooting and perform repairs on existing HVAC units, ensuring optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately assemble and install equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and refrigerant recharges to ensure peak performance.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing, and welding equipment for ductwork fabrication.
- Diagnose mechanical issues related to refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, or boiler components; execute necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete installation reports, and document all work performed in compliance with safety standards.
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in building codes and safety regulations.
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC or related mechanical fields.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system designs accurately.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles including ductwork layout and airflow optimization.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems, refrigeration processes, and appliance repair techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration units.
- Experience working in field service environments with a focus on property maintenance and equipment repair.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills for ductwork fabrication; experience with boiler systems and mechanical components.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely.
