Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking, plating, and portioning to support kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and trash disposal
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring timely service
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Buss tables efficiently during service to ensure a clean and inviting dining environment
- Monitor gas appliances and equipment to ensure safe operation in compliance with safety regulations
- Support the overall food service operation by serving guests, refilling stations, and assisting with special events or functions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hotel environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and safety protocols essential for success in this role
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting supplies, and cleaning duties
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues and guests
- Basic culinary skills or interest in developing culinary expertise is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and assist guests as needed
