Position Summary
The Quality Documentation & Data Management Intern will support the Quality Department in the improvement, cleansing, simplification, and re-organization of Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and databases. This role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments to support document standardization, workflow alignment, timeline coordination, and completion tracking of assigned quality initiatives.
The position will also support the restructuring and clean-up of the Approved Vendor List (AVL) database to improve data integrity, traceability, and usability. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with the development and organization of QA/QC documentation for Shop Service and CSB business units.
This is an excellent opportunity for a currently enrolled student or recent graduate seeking practical experience in Quality Management Systems, documentation control, data analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Foster an environment of teamwork, compliance, accountability, and continual improvement.
- Adhere to Company objectives related to Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Information Security requirements.
- Support Quality Department initiatives related to QMS documentation cleansing, simplification, and standardization.
- Review, organize, archive, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms, templates, and controlled documents.
- Coordinate with various departments to help establish realistic action plans, timelines, and completion targets for documentation updates and process alignment activities.
- Track progress of assigned departmental actions and provide routine follow-up to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with restructuring and validating the Approved Vendor List (AVL) database to improve accuracy, organization, traceability, and reporting capability.
- Support data clean-up, duplicate removal, formatting consistency, and document version control activities.
- Assist in developing and organizing QA/QC documentation packages for Shop Service and CSB business units.
- Maintain document logs, trackers, spreadsheets, and database records using Microsoft Office tools.
- Support Quality team members with administrative and process improvement tasks as assigned.
- Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams to gather information and support project execution.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, and status updates related to Quality initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Specialist, Plant Quality Supervisor, or Quality Management.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information and documentation.
- Requires flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program related to:
- STEM Academic Disciplines
- Information Systems/Data Analytics
- Interest in Quality Systems, ISO standards, process improvement, documentation control, or data management.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, database management, or document organization preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or oil & gas environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or Quality Management Systems is beneficial but not required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit and work in front of a computer for majority of the day.
- Minor lifting of files and/or boxes < 5 lbs.
