We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or light industrial settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, pipes, valves, water heaters, and related equipment.
· Diagnose plumbing issues and determine effective repair or replacement solutions.
· Perform inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
· Respond to service calls, including leaks, clogs, broken pipes, water heater issues, and other plumbing emergencies.
· Ensure all work complies with applicable local, state, and federal codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
· Accurately document work performed, materials used, time spent, and any recommended follow-up services.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, supervisors, contractors, and team members.
· Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
· Mentor apprentices or helper-level team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
· Valid Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent certification as required by state or local regulations.
· Proven experience installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.
· Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety practices, tools, materials, and installation methods.
· Ability to troubleshoot plumbing problems and complete work with minimal supervision.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
· Ability to lift, carry, climb, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces or varying weather conditions as needed.
· Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in both residential and commercial plumbing environments.
· Experience with water heaters, boilers, gas piping, drain cleaning, backflow prevention, or hydronic systems.
· Experience supervising apprentices or working as a lead plumber on job sites.
Work Schedule and Conditions
This is a full-time position. Schedule includes weekdays, occasional evenings, weekends, overtime, or on-call emergency service depending on business needs. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, at active construction sites, occupied homes, commercial facilities, mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, and other job site environments.
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, licensing, and qualifications.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
