Production Coordinator – Print, Purchasing & Inventory

Exam Pros is a growing contractor school and book fulfillment business serving customers through Shopify, wholesale, Amazon, and eBay. We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on Production Coordinator to manage purchasing, print production, inventory levels, and production scheduling while reducing backorders and helping the operation move from a serial process to a faster, more parallel workflow.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate purchasing of books from publishers and outside vendors.
· Purchase raw materials for printing, binding, tabbing, packaging, and related production work.
· Schedule production for printing, highlighting, tabs, and book finishing.
· Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, lead times, and backorders.
· Coordinate in-house digital printing and production to keep jobs accurate and on schedule.
· Work with print-ready files and graphic materials to support smooth job setup.
· Communicate across purchasing, warehouse, production, and management to keep work moving efficiently.
· Identify process improvements that reduce delays, improve accuracy, and increase throughput.
Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience in production coordination, print production, purchasing, inventory control, operations, or a similar role.
· Strong understanding of digital printing workflows.
· Experience with vendor purchasing, inventory control, scheduling, and order follow-up.
· Knowledge of saddle stitch, coil binding, and perfect binding.
· Basic graphic design or print-file knowledge; Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or similar tools are a plus.
· Strong spreadsheet, organizational, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in books, publishing, educational products, or print-on-demand operations.
· Experience supporting Shopify, Amazon, or eBay-related fulfillment.
