Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain patient oral health. Being able to perform sealants, take impressions, and other clinical services is a big plus!
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, supporting comprehensive patient care documentation.
- Support pediatric dentistry services by providing gentle care tailored to children’s needs.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
- Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in dental terminology.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental care.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse age groups, especially pediatrics.
- Ability to perform chairside hygiene duties confidently while maintaining high standards of infection control and documentation review.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, HIPAA regulations, and medical records management is advantageous.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
