Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager - Network to lead large-scale network deployment programs and fiber optic infrastructure initiatives. This individual will provide senior-level program leadership, taking ownership of the planning, execution, and successful delivery of network build projects, new capabilities, operational processes, and technology enhancements. The ideal candidate is a strategic and technically adept project leader with a proven track record managing complex network infrastructure deployments from concept through implementation. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, executive-level communication, risk mitigation expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end project and program management for network infrastructure initiatives, including the planning, design, build, deployment, and implementation phases.
- Provide exemplary senior-level program leadership and accountability for the successful delivery of network capabilities, deployment processes, and operational improvements.
- Develop program strategies, project timelines, project charters, and detailed execution plans to support large-scale network deployments.
- Establish project governance structures and maintain accountability across internal teams, contractors, and third-party vendors.
- Drive project execution while balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational requirements.
Network Build & Deployment Management
- Manage complex network deployment programs, including fiber optic network build projects and infrastructure expansion initiatives.
- Develop detailed build plans, work breakdown structures, resource forecasts, schedules, and deployment instrumentation to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinate engineering, operations, field construction, deployment, and vendor teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Identify project dependencies and critical path activities to proactively manage delivery risks.
- Monitor construction and deployment milestones to ensure projects meet performance, quality, and timeline objectives.
Risk Management & Executive Communication
- Identify project risks, constraints, resource gaps, and operational challenges and develop mitigation strategies to maintain program success.
- Communicate project plans, performance metrics, risks, escalations, and recommendations to executive leadership on a regular basis.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, dashboards, status reports, and business reviews.
- Facilitate decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations and actionable insights.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, network operations, deployment, construction, finance, and business stakeholders.
- Manage external suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure accountability, performance, and contractual compliance.
- Influence stakeholders at all organizational levels to drive alignment and successful project execution.
- Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain project dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and performance reporting tools.
- Utilize advanced Excel, Power BI, and reporting platforms to analyze project data and communicate business impact.
- Track project financials, resource utilization, deployment progress, and operational performance metrics.
- Leverage business analytics and data management techniques to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of technical project or program management experience supporting network infrastructure or telecommunications environments.
- Proven experience leading large-scale fiber optic network build and deployment projects.
- Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
- Strong experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and risk management strategies.
- Experience presenting to and communicating with executive leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, telecommunications deployment, construction processes, and operational environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
- Experience utilizing Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms for reporting and analytics.
- Exceptional leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive accountability and deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
