Inventory Clerk

An Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate records of a company’s inventory. This position involves tracking, organizing, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Tracking:

Maintain up-to-date records of all items in stock.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile physical counts with system records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system data.

Data Entry and Documentation:

Accurately input and update inventory data into the company’s inventory management system.
Prepare inventory reports and provide regular updates to management and relevant departments.
Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, including receiving, issuing, and returns.

Organization and Maintenance:

Organize inventory in a systematic and efficient manner to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
Consolidate stock to eliminate parts being stored in multiple locations.
Maintain a clean and orderly inventory storage area.

Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols when handling inventory.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in inventory control or related roles is preferred.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Must be able to perform basic math (computational) calculations.
Effective communications skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects if required.
